Welcome to Tales from the Script Productions, an independent film production company spawned by the dynamic resurgence of film production in the state of Texas. Working in coordination with several other Dallas / Fort Worth-based production companies, Tales from the Script Productions seeks to put the “story” back into storytelling. Our name is our mission statement; we believe that everything begins with a good script. You can have a thousand explosions, and titanic, perfectly-designed, robotic, war machines, and the best actors in Hollywood, but without a riveting story, it’s all just a two-hour fireworks spectacle. Save that for the 4th of July. Here at Tales from the Script Productions, we deliver great dialogue, characters you’ll care about, and stories that will move you to laughter, tears, screams and thrills. To quote Neil LaButte (In the Company of Men, The Shape of Things), “We make movies we want to see.”

Ultimately, good storytelling cuts across all genres. In 2006, Tales from the Script Productions co-produced Open Mike Night, a high school-based feature comedy shot and acted entirely by high school students and teachers in the Dallas area. The film was awarded an Honorable Mention Award at the Twin Rivers Festival in North Carolina. Our next project was a supernatural drama, From the Dark, which was an official feature selection for the 2009 AFI Dallas International Film Festival. Currently, we have a vampire drama, a “B” horror comedy, a supernatural thriller, and a buddy comedy in various stages of pre-production.
